--- Leading Position Of Holding A BPA In All 11 GSA Regions And In All 11 GSA Energy Special Item Numbers (SINS) ---

Nationwide BPA Agreement for Energy Services & LEED Sustainable Green BuildingNORWALK, CONNECTICUT, March 4, 2010 - EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that its EMCOR Energy Services, Inc. unit was recently awarded a nationwide Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide comprehensive energy services for the General Services Administration (GSA). EMCOR Energy Services was one of 19 organizations to be awarded a BPA by the GSA, one of the world's largest building managers.

The services of EMCOR Energy Services—from energy management and planning, to commissioning and innovations in energy may now be contracted under a BPA, which provides a simplified means for federal agencies to acquire comprehensive professional energy services to make their properties more energy efficient. Using BPAs, federal agencies can save time and money by reducing the administrative burden of contract management, thereby being able to undertake money saving building optimization and energy efficiency projects faster. With EMCOR's locations in all 11 GSA regions and authorization to work through the GSA under all 11 Energy Special Item Numbers (SINS), regardless of where federal agencies' facilities are located, or the number of properties involved---and no matter what energy services are required---projects can be started more quickly and through a single source.

"EMCOR Energy Services is very proud to have been chosen to help 'green' our nation's infrastructure. With an expert staff of LEED Accredited Professional engineers, we are well qualified to help build America's green future," stated Art Strenkert, President, EMCOR Energy Services. "We look forward to partnering with federal agencies to optimize and transform their facilities into high performance, energy efficient buildings."

Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the government earmarked funds to enable federal agencies to pursue "green" initiatives in compliance with the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA), Executive Order 13423, and the Federal Leadership in High Performance and Sustainable Buildings Memorandum of Understanding (2006). The GSA designed the Comprehensive Energy Services BPA to assist federal agencies in meeting the standards set forth in the various legislation, converting the government's portfolio of facilities into "high performance green buildings."
