V.P. and Chief Information Officer
Value Delivered

In addition to all major IT policy decisions, he is responsible for organizational management, vendor selection, and business strategy alignment.
Expertise
Under Joe’s guidance, the information technology team supports the critical business operations that enable us to deliver world-class service to our clientele.
Joe brings over 25 years technology experience with 15 focused in the construction and facilities management industry.
As a known expert in his field with a passion for sharing knowledge and experience, Joe is active in the industry speaking circuit as well as being recognized often in trade publications such as ENR and Information Week.
Interviews with Joe have appeared in books by noted authors such as Chuck Martin. Both McGraw Hill and Computerworld invite Joe to share his perspectives as a panel member in notable events.
Joe’s strength as an IT expert is rooted not only in his IT knowledge, but also in his years of experience in many of the corporate functions his organization supports. For more than 14 years, for example, he sold consulting engagements, performing such key sales functions as making cold calls, delivering presentations, negotiating contracts, and managing sales closings.
Over the years, he enriched this background with product development, training, and consulting support experience. In addition, his cross-industry background includes a stint as vice president and CIO at Chartwell Re, a major insurance and reinsurance firm, where he was responsible for both technology and administrative functions.
Most important, Joe has put his experience and skills to work by leading some of the industry’s most highly successful and comprehensive technology programs. As corporate director of IT for Lehrer McGovern Bovis, one of the world’s largest construction management firms, he guided the company’s technology implementation from unintegrated low-value islands of word processing and spreadsheet technology to a unified high-value systems structure, connecting headquarters in New York with all regional offices. By setting the pace and establishing the standards, he enabled the company’s London parent to extend this structure to other Bovis companies around the globe.
Joe holds both BS and MBA degrees from the Stern School of Business at New York University, to which he has also served as an adjunct professor at the graduate level. Joe has served on a number of Boards including the local SIM chapter and CBIT at University of Bridgeport.
