NORWALK, CONNECTICUT, March 18, 2009 - EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, reported that as previously noted on its 2/26/09 Fourth Quarter Earnings Call, its Hyre Electric subsidiary has received a contract for the installation of electrical systems for an expansion project at St. Mary's Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana.
Hyre Electric will be responsible for the installation of the electrical power and electrical systems involved in the expansion of the facility, an addition of 5,365 square feet. Hyre Electric's work will include installation of new, state-of-the-art, 64-slice CT, MRI and ultrasound imaging equipment. Hyre will also be involved in the upgrade to existing high voltage and generator switchgear as well as the installation of three closed transition and one dual motor automatic transfer switches. Hyre's scope of work also includes the complete electrical build out for a new family reception area.
St. Mary's Medical Center consists of 190-bed acute care facility providing general medical, cardiac, surgical, diagnostic, rehabilitation, senior, mental health, oncology, and emergency services, and the Hospital for Women and Children.
