EMCOR FACILITIES SERVICES NAMES MICHAEL W. SHELTON VICE PRESIDENT OF GOVERNMENT SERVICES
--Experienced Facilities Operations & Maintenance Executive, Veteran Naval Civil Engineer, to Continue Growth of Company’s Government Services Portfolio --
NORWALK, CONNECTICUT, March 22, 2006 – EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. (EFS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses globally, announced that Michael W. Shelton, a veteran facilities operations and maintenance executive, has been named Vice President, Government Services. Previously President of Burns and Roe Services Corp. where he was primarily engaged in facilities and utilities maintenance for the U.S. government, Mr. Shelton has had a distinguished 34-year career in the U.S. Navy, from which he retired as the senior Civil Engineers Corps officer while assigned to the personal staff of the Chief of Naval Operations as Civil Engineering/Facilities Advisor.

With annual revenues of over $100 million, EFS Government Services has been a partner of federal and state governments for over 60 years. It currently works with 28 federal and state entities, operating and maintaining critical government centers comprising over 32 million square feet that include: U.S. State Department headquarters; the U.S. Naval Academy; the General Services Administration’s Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center; the National Foreign Affairs Training Center; and the International Chancery, among many others.
In addition, a joint venture of which EFS is the managing partner was recently awarded a $400 million contract to provide base operations support to the U.S. Navy’s facilities in the Western Puget Sound area of Washington State. The bases, part of Naval Region Northwest, encompass strategically important fleet support activities and are home to the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s nuclear submarines. Under the terms of the contract, over 500 personnel are providing services that include management and administration for security, facilities support, utilities, equipment maintenance, and environmental services.
Mr. Shelton’s Navy career spanned six command tours in all facets of the Navy’s facilities and Naval Construction Force areas. In 2005, he received the University of Illinois’ Civil and Environmental Engineering Alumni Association Distinguished Alumnus Award. He is also a Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. He has also served as President of the Professional Housing Management Association and a member of the Executive Committee of the Contract Services Association. Mr. Shelton received a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy, a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a M.S. in Management from the University of Arkansas.
