Rob leads UMEC’s new business development efforts in the commercial, healthcare, and biotech industries. He also manages the estimating department and provides pre-construction support, ensuring that clients receive the energy-efficient high-performance systems and responsive customer care they need to meet their most demanding facilities and budget objectives. Whenever possible, he applies his leading edge knowledge of best practices in the industry as a LEED accredited professional.
Expertise
Rob’s industry experience spans nearly a quarter of a century. During his college years, he worked for a consulting engineering firm. After graduation, he joined UMEC as an HVAC and plumbing design engineer. Over the next 20-plus years, he held a variety of positions, including estimator, preconstruction services provider, field project engineer, and manager. This experience has made him especially proficient in helping clients understand and satisfy the diverse engineering requirements of healthcare, biotech research, hospitality, entertainment, and other projects. Whatever the facility, however, Rob enables clients to achieve their goals in high-quality, cost-effective ways that provide both immediate and long-term benefits.
Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration engineering from California Polytechnic University. He is also a U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional.
