Value Delivered

Teal ensures that the EMCOR’s Knowledge & Response Solutions utilize today’s optimal technology to communicate effectively with its mobile field force. In addition to his management and budget activities, he anticipates critical issues, identifies and solves technical problems, addresses user concerns, implements customer-requested application changes, develops training programs, and supervises the mobile solutions helpdesk.

Expertise

After a tour of duty with the United States Coast Guard as a diesel mechanic, Teal took a technical support position with a software company, where he worked with the firm’s network administrators to implement an enterprise-class calendaring application. From that position, he became information technology (IT) manager for Mesa Energy Systems, Inc., an EMCOR company, managing internal networks and mobile solutions. EMCOR then transitioned him to the EMCOR Facilities Knowledge Center to replicate Mesa’s successful technology approach on a corporate-wide basis.

Highly self motivated and analytical with a solid understanding of knowledge & response operations and objectives, Teal keeps his own knowledge on the leading edge by reading about technology and its most advanced business applications in magazines, web logs, and other media. When combined with his extensive hands-on management experience, the result is considerable expertise about how emerging technologies can enhance the value of today’s facilities managers.

In addition to computer science courses at the University of California-Irvine, Teal takes business courses with an IT specialty at the University of Phoenix.
