As the business development team leader, Andy is responsible for growing our facilities services by providing strategic direction, inspirational leadership, and resources necessary to deliver extraordinary customer satisfaction. His focus is on building long-term, value-driven relationships with our current and future client base. As such he also has a functional reporting relationship to the head of the Customer Solutions Group. Andy’s team supports owner(s) in a way that enables them to keep focus on their core business while EMCOR ensures the facilities are sustainable and operating at maximum performance.
Expertise
Bringing 20 years of experience, Andy is knowledgeable about virtually every aspect of sales and marketing management. With proven ability as a familiar, trusted, and dependable advisor, he’s known for building strong customer relationships and successfully managing accounts. It’s an ability he supports with extensive expertise in such areas as budgeting and forecasting; negotiating; estimating; personnel recruitment, staffing and training; pricing; project strategy; product positioning; and warranty administration.
Over the years, he has managed sales organizations at the local, regional, and national accounts levels. During that time, he has been involved in a wide range of executive activities. He has restructured organizations to make them more productive; coordinated cultural and personnel changes to increase customer focus and improve performance; overseen successful new product introductions; trained top relationship builders; led growth-oriented merger and acquisition activities; and opened and developed new sales offices.
Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and a master degree in business administration from DePaul University. He has also participated in executive leadership development at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
The Personal Side
Away from the job, Andy enjoys outdoor activities, such as skiing, golf, travel, and coaching his children’s athletic teams.
