Bringing 25 years expertise in mechanical engineering, Alan delivers operational efficiency to his clientele through a variety of activities. He investigates building mechanical systems and plumbing projects, develops customized testing programs, protocols and quality assurance procedures to document and resolve some of the most challenging and complex environments. His expertise in mechanical engineering includes design and construction management for systems such as chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and oil tank replacements. Recently he engineered and monitored construction of the first demand based ventilation systems installed in a Washington commercial facility. Alan is an expert when it comes to managing projects within occupied space, enabling clients to maintain high levels of productivity.
Alan conducts mechanical system (capital) assessments and detailed engineering analysis of existing equipment for major high rise real estate portfolios in Washington DC, Virginia, Florida, Illinois, and Maryland. His reviews and recommendations are based on the application of preferred engineering practices within applicable codes, and coordination of new installations with existing building equipment and structures.
He is a professional engineer, licensed in DC, VA, MD, CT and IL. He received a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University. He has also obtained strategic training from Johnson Service Control School and Graham Adjustable Frequency Drive School. Alan is a Real Property Administrator. He is a member of organizations including: The National Capital Chapter of the Maerican Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)- President, the District of Columbia Building Code Advisory Board, the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
