Expertise
Gary brings extensive electrical engineering experience, with a design-build specialty, to our clients and the EMCOR team. His responsibilities include: directing, supervising, and training top notch electrical teams – from technicians to engineers; fulfilling contractual requirements; reviewing work progress; managing field relations and the internal administration of matters affecting electrical operations.
Showcased, as an example of one of the finest 2004 Design-Build initiatives in the commercial HVAC market, was a project in which Gary and his team played an integral role. Gary designed a sophisticated multi-million dollar electrical solution for a 160,000 square foot office, research, production, and warehouse facility for one of the nation’s largest full service direct mail marketing companies. To highlight some of the expertise provided: the project included a 1.5 MW generator to back 3,000 amps of power, a UPS room, and 38 power sub-panels. The lighting environment was fitted with Hi Lo Metal Halide energy saving ballasts and motion detectors. The production equipment required 100 power drops. The fire alarm system monitored the entire campus – from over 30 rooftops to elevator recall. There were unique requirements for the commercial kitchen supporting the complex. A powerful P.A. system and emergency ALL CALL system was installed — all designed and implemented utilizing 28 CAD engineering drawings.
He holds a Connecticut Master Unlimited License E1 and is listed with Underwriters Laboratories as a Control Cabinet Wiring Manufacturer. His technical background includes generator systems, UPS power systems, electrical design-build, fire alarm and card access installations, explosion proof wiring, transformer vaults, electrical renovations, lighting, and motor control wiring. Gary developed, designed, manufactured, and patented an energy management system that sets back HVAC, lighting & power upon un-occupancy. This system, listed by Underwriter’s Laboratories, has a pre-warm-up cycle prior to occupancy occurring and, will set back upon any change in routine without the need of timers or computers. His design was implemented mainly for hotel rooms, apartments, dormitories, offices and commercial businesses. Gary has successfully executed many large design build specialty projects for NEMSI.
Gary has over 35 years of experience in the electrical engineering field. He serves on the board of the Independent Electrical Contractors Association of Connecticut (IEC), is a member of Connecticut Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), and is a third degree knight with the Knights of Columbus.
