Drawing from over 25 years experience in mechanical and electrical construction, John leads our specialty construction services abroad. EMCOR is known as one of the UK's most experienced independent specialist mechanical and electrical multi-service contracting companies, offering fully integrated solutions for engineering, designing, building, installing and commissioning high-quality mechanical and electrical systems.

Expertise

John started as a technician apprentice in the mechanical and electrical industry; today he brings extensive experience in design, project management and business management across all sectors of the industry from residential to commercial to industrial and a variety of major projects.

John worked for Drake & Scull International from 1980 to 1986. He then worked with two other major mechanical and electrical contractors before returning to the Group in August 2003 in his current role.

The Personal Side

John and his wife Lynda have a daughter who lives in Tenerife and he comes under considerable pressure to visit her and their grandson Jacob, whenever he has a break. Unfortunately this does not enable him to exert much influence over Jacob's upbringing!

John tries to play golf at weekends, but does not do it very well whilst endeavoring to take a £1 off his playing partners as he enjoys anything that is competitive and which does not require strenuous exercise.
