Sean ensures that his 13 branch offices provide the consistently high levels of service clients require in today’s difficult environment. With his team of 10 service managers, 20 inspectors, five inspection sales representatives and 10 national account coordinators, he delivers responsive, high-quality services at more than 12,000 locations to a wide range of clients, including four national accounts and several regional accounts. He also develops operating policies and procedures that enable an expert, efficient response to clients’ needs, and manages compliance with established standards and regulations to minimize risk and maximize safety. In addition, he created a new department to help clients replace sprinkler heads that are part of a U.S. Consumers Products Safety Commission recall program. Over a five-year period, he has increased his $20-million division’s revenues by 100 percent. Together, Sean and his knowledgeable team of service and inspection professionals play a significant role in S.A. Comunale’s efforts to deliver timely, high-performance fire protection that effectively guards clients’ businesses, while enabling secure ongoing operation.
Expertise
Sean's fire protection career began in 1988 while he was still attending college. Working in his family's business -- a small automatic sprinkler fire protection contracting firm -- he learned every facet of the industry, including sales, project management, design and accounting. He also learned to use Firepro hydraulic calculation programs, AutoCAD and SprinkCAD. In addition, he developed new policies and procedures for project management and job costing, while helping to increase sales by 50 percent.
In 1994, Sean joined S.A. Comunale as service department manager. His responsibilities included implementing the policies, procedures and standards necessary to start a new service department, and assisting with employee training for a newly created inspection department. Over six years, he increased service department sales more than 500 percent. He was also directly responsible for sales and project management for service, small contract and inspection work in northeastern Ohio. In addition to overseeing the service department, he helped develop several newly acquired small companies.
Sean is certified in the State of Ohio for fire protection installation, service and inspection. He also holds NICET certification for Automatic Sprinkler System Layout and Inspection & Testing of Water Based Systems. He is an active member of the Professional Retail Store Maintenance (PRSM) Association and the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA).
Sean attended the University of Akron as a part-time student, where he pursued a bachelor's degree in business management.
