Result: Planning and completing the massive, rigourous installation of mechanical and electrical systems within a confined footpriont and very demanding timeframe — without disrupting the critical daily activities of arrivals and departures. |
Jubilee Line Extension -- London, England Challenge: The London Undergorup system needed a 10-mile expansion that would connect the city's rapidly developing financial district.
Result: An extension of 59 trains and 11 stations was added to London's "tube" as a result of EMCOR Rail's design/build of the complete mechanical/electrical systems, including lighting, ventilation, smoke control and track drainage.

Gold Line LRT - Los Angeles, CA Challenge: The movements of automobiles and light rail transit trains needed to be coordinated so that neither would have to wait for the other.
Result: Gridlock was reduced as a result of the design and installation of an integrated signal control system so that automobiles getting on and off the freeway could avoid delays caused by passing trains. |
Staten Island Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) Project - New York Challenge: The need for reduced traffic congestion, fuel consumption and accidents required an advanced expressway upgrade.
Result: We provided complete electrical systems to enable ATMS technologies, such as variable message signs for real-time traffic information and closed circuit TV to spot incidents. |
