Intelligent Designs
For the new 1.1 million square foot Center for Life Sciences building at Black Fan Research Center, delivering on a fast track schedule in a congested urban location called for thinking outside a very tight box. Before crews were even on site, EMCOR's 3D CAD experts identified the best solutions and fabricated 8.5 mile of piping with precision. We also "saw" potential barriers to installation and reconfigured equipment in advance, meeting the client's rigorous requirements and installing 12 custom-built air-handling units on time.
Service Market
A major supermarket chain needed to enhance efficiency and focus on its core businesses, so the client entrusted EMCOR with executing maintenance and repair work at over 280 stores. We instituted planned mobile services with route systems that reduced windshield time, prioritized work orders, and boosted productivity. Technicians carry handheld computers containing all work-order data, and they have all the parts required to go right to work.		 House Call
When a 30-year-old, 100-ton chiller failed at Boston Medical Center, the client faced a costly repair with no guarantee of a long-term success for the aging but vital equipment. Serving several floors of a main building on the complex, the chiller was mission critical to medical, education, and research activities. EMCOR's mobile services technicians provided a new water-cooled screw chiller that maximized the payback of installation costs with Green refrigerant and the capability to accept future variable speed drive components for enhanced efficiency.
