Expertise
Jim has over 35 years of experience in the mechanical and control installation and service industry. After a five-year stint as a mechanical/electrical systems designer with a local architecture and engineering firm, he entered the mechanical contracting and service industry. Since then, he has developed his expertise in estimating, sales and marketing, purchasing, expediting and portable heating, ventilation and air conditioning (PHVAC) systems. He has also held positions as an engineering, project and division manager.
Jim earned an associate degree in architectural technology and a bachelor's degree in construction technology from Purdue University. He has also attended Comfort Systems USA Leadership Institute, the Carrier Business Management School, Dale Carnegie Business Management Training, the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 10-hour competent construction training course and the IPFW (Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne) leadership development training series.
An associate member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), he is a licensed Plumbing Contractor by the Indiana State Plumbing Commission. He is also a LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design)-accredited professional and a member of the Indiana Chapter of the United States Green Building Council.
The Personal Side
Jim and his wife Diane have been married 34 years and have four grown children. In addition to being an avid baseball fan, Jim enjoys playing racquetball and traveling.
