Value Delivered

Jeff provides the expert mechanical systems assessments and detailed engineering analyses clients need to ensure consistently high-performance operation. He also acts as a commissioning project manager, enabling the company to meet owners' building systems goals from the beginning of project programming through the first year of occupancy. And when a "tune up" is needed, he oversees "retro" and "re" commissioning of completed projects.

Expertise
Jeff has developed his expertise over nearly 40 years of designing, installing, commissioning and maintaining medium-voltage (1kV-100kV), as well as critical, emergency and low-voltage power systems. He also has extensive experience with mechanical, fire protection and many other building systems. This experience encompasses data centers, hospitals, banks, chemical plants, refineries, industrial plants, wastewater treatment plants, fresh water supply facilities and office buildings. In addition, his commissioning activities have enabled him to become an expert developer of customized testing programs, protocols and quality assurance procedures to document and resolve problem conditions.

Jeff holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Houston. He has also taken the Westinghouse electrical system analysis course, the Illuminating Engineering Society's basic lighting course and the International Association of Electrical Inspector's fault-current analysis course.

Jeff is licensed as a master electrician in the State of Texas and the City of Houston. In addition, the University of Wisconsin School of Engineering has certified him as a commissioning provider, while the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has recognized him as a LEED-accredited professional.

Jeff is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). In addition to serving on the organization's various technical committees, he has been chairman of the commissioning standing guidelines committee and vice chairman of the committee to write commissioning guidelines. He has also authored articles and made presentations for ASHRAE on a range of commissioning and owner-related issues. His other memberships include the USGBC, the Building Commissioning Association, the National Fire Protection Association, the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and the International Electrical Testing Association.

The Personal Side
Married to his wife Martha for 37 years, Jeff has two children.  His daughter is an international flight attendant for a major airline and his son is a TAB technician.  He and his wife breed and show Irish Wolfhounds. Jeff also enjoys skeet shooting and woodworking.
