Value Delivered
As EMCOR's primary contact for key utility and institutional clients, Marc helps municipalities, utilities and their end-user customers find practical and creative solutions to operational challenges that involve energy issues. He and his team of engineers are dedicated to analyzing and communicating energy-saving opportunities in diverse settings, including wastewater plants, municipal transit operations, educational buildings, hospitals and industrial facilities. In the process, they explain how buildings operate and what owners can do to improve building energy system efficiency.

Expertise
In addition to strategic planning and project management, Marc's areas of expertise include energy analysis and efficiency optimization for campuses, healthcare facilities, historical and municipal buildings, military bases, industrial plants and other facility types. His professional focus on lighting has led him to identify, design and manage the implementation of highly efficient lighting and lighting control systems. He also works regularly with utility customers to help them evaluate and quantify the potential savings available from cutting-edge lighting technologies, and to assist them in developing innovative solutions and sound technical standards.

Marc holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz and is a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

His publications and presentations include a "Case Study of a Municipal Lighting Retrofit Program" published in the proceedings of the "Right Light 5 2002" conference and a presentation published at the Worldcon '91 Lighting Efficiency Congress. In addition, he has received Energy User News's Efficient Building Award in the energy and environment category and Southern California Edison's 1993 Design for Excellence Award, as well as the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America's Award of Merit and two Golden Gate Section Illumination Design awards.
