Value Delivered
Bob helps to ensure that our clients know of the company's full range of services and the outstanding value they provide. In addition to overseeing the company's sales force, he manages day-to-day sales activities, sets sales goals and empowers his sales team to develop value-oriented client communication strategies. He also helps identify new and innovative ways to increase value for clients and makes sure the sales force has the tools it needs to contribute to their clients' success. In addition, he works closely with the company's president to improve productivity, increase customer satisfaction and build strong client relationships.
Expertise
Bob brings over 18 years of industry experience to his position. Before joining EMCOR, he was a Strategic Accounts Manager for York International Corporation. In that position, he listened to clients, identified their needs, and designed national single-source programs and offerings, which met or exceeded their expectations.
Bob joined York in 1992 as a Service Sales Representative. His success in that position led to a series of increasingly more responsible and demanding roles. His next post was Area Service Manager, where he oversaw the Metro-West Service Point, which included Washington, D.C. and Montgomery County. Prior to becoming Strategic Accounts Manager, he served as the District Service Manager with responsibility for the company's Washington, D.C. service operations. By fostering a culture in which the entire team was encouraged to listen to clients' needs and then develop innovative solutions to meet them, he built his organization into one of the company's largest and most successful service operations.
Bob holds a bachelor's degree in general studies from the University of Maryland and keeps his expertise up to date by regularly attending a variety of professional seminars. Active in industry organizations, he currently serves on the board of trustees of the Mechanical Contractors Association's Heating, Piping and Refrigeration Retirement Pension Fund.
The Personal Side
Bob and his wife have two daughters. In addition to his family, he enjoys playing golf.
