Value Delivered
Pat helps maintain the sound financial practices and solid financial foundation the company needs to continue delivering high-quality services and high-performance projects. In addition to financial reporting, he oversees all accounting department activities, including payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable, to be sure they support corporate goals and are in full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other accounting regulations. He also works with the information technology department to build accounting systems that retain records properly, while satisfying all industry accounting standards.
Expertise
Pat has been working in construction since high school, when he held positions as a metal lather, concrete worker and marble setter. After college and a stint at 3-M Corporation, he returned to construction, where he spent the next 17 years working on heavy highway projects. He then moved into the financial department of a multinational petrochemical company. In 1984, he joined Forest as controller. Shortly after that, the company opened several branch offices. Pat served as the financial liaison between these and the main office until 1992, when the company promoted him to corporate controller. He added the treasurer's responsibilities in 1995.
Pat holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master's in business administration from Long Island University's Roth School of Business.
The Personal Side
Pat and his wife have four children and three grandchildren. In addition to spending time with his family, he is active on the board of Holy Cross High School, where he has been chairman for four years and a member for seven.
