With a passion for implementing change to improve results, Matthew drives corporate support initiatives aimed at improving subsidiary operational performance with a focus on continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and safety outcomes.  In addition, you will frequently hear Matthew discuss the merits and methods of sound business continuity planning.


Expertise
Matthew has spent more than 10 years working in many roles with several EMCOR companies.  He began his career with Wasatch Electric working in procurement and accounting and ultimately managing special projects and quality improvement.  Prior to working for EMCOR Group he spent two years as Director, Quality Management for EMCOR Facilities Services where he implemented and maintained an ISO 9001:2000 registered management system during a period of enormous growth.  He has also worked directly with the top management of dozens of EMCOR's electrical and mechanical contractors and mobile service HVAC companies to implement continuous improvement management systems that reached every part of each operation.


In addition to leading performance improvement efforts Matthew has worked with companies to improve safety performance resulting in one of the best records in the industry.  He has been instrumental in helping many EMCOR companies plan for the worst with business continuity planning. A frequent presenter Matt has addressed audiences as diverse as local NECA chapters to the International Foundation for Employee Benefit Plans. 


Matthew graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in International Business from Westminster College in Salt Lake City.  He has also earned an MBA from the University of Utah.  Matthew speaks fluent Spanish.  He is active in the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Design and Construction Division and is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager.


The Personal Side
Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and son, traveling, reading history, participating in community activities and spending time relaxing and playing in the mountains of Utah.
