Go With a New Flow The road to safer streets in Stockton, California, is through EMCOR. At the crossroads of Interstate 5, State Route 99 and State Route 4, Stockton has also experienced a population boom in the last 10 years, creating dangerous gridlock. To address the problem, our electrical and transportation experts installed 48 cameras on existing intersection traffic lights throughout the city. The project also included wiring for cameras, power and installation of active equipment. The system will help officials monitor and manage traffic flow, and improve overall safety in busy areas of the city. |

A New Generation of Power When the Sacramento Municipal Utility District needed to expand its generation capabilities with a natural gas-fired, combined-cycle facility, it relied on the power of EMCOR to get the job done. We provided not just equipment, but also project management services to build the 500 megawatt plant on a 30-acre site 25 miles southeast of the city. We collaborated with the client to design and complete two Heat Recover Steam Generators (HRSGs) and other equipment, including instrumentation—and we completed all site work, management of prime electrical work, and alignment and grouting of all rotating equipment. |
Full Service For Semiconductors Livermore, California-based FormFactor is the industry leader in high performance semiconductor wafer probe cards for test applications that require reliability, speed, precision and signal integrity. When the high-tech giant needed two clean rooms and office space for its new R&D center, they called on EMCOR’s high-tech experts. We designed and installed the HVAC and mechanical systems and developed Basis of Design documents for process and water piping, as well as an electrical design and build. In the end, the project not only met the requirements of semiconductor research, but it also resulted in utility rebates of more than $120,000. Our service experts keep equipment performing at peak to keep the annual energy savings— currently an average of $175,000 per year—flowing. |
