Service For Life Who better to maintain your equipment than the people who built it? EMCOR provides scheduled inspections and routine and emergency service to a 150-ton Turbocor chiller at Irvine, California-based Edwards Lifesciences. This leader in advanced cardiovascular treatments—including artificial heart valves—required a chiller to interface with the building’s control system to boost the capacity of existing equipment. Our role in the project began with mechanical and structural engineering to provide construction plans and documents, and also included start-up and commissioning. With an understanding of the equipment from the inside out, our expert technicians maintain the healthy beat of high performance. |

First Class Reservations When Hilton Hotels do a convention center, they do it right. The client’s new 30-story, one-million-square foot facility in San Diego will consist of 1,190 guest rooms, two ballrooms, 35 meeting rooms, a health club/spa, pool, two restaurants, and retail shops. The client has already made reservations with EMCOR to provide the electrical and mechanical systems, including CATV, data, telephone, fire alarm/life safety and smoke control, voice/data and TV, CCTV video surveillance and security systems, and HVAC digital controls, as well as audio visual speakers, electric projection screens and audio visual cabling. These advanced systems will keep the facility performing for conventioneers well into the next decade. |
Public Energy #1 The town of Yucca Valley has a reputation for looking at things in new lights. And when town officials wanted to use solar energy to enhance energy efficiency and lower costs in municipal buildings, while showcasing the alternative technology to local citizens—and the world—they called EMCOR. We took a valueadded approach to providing a high-performance alternative energy system, with 324 photovoltaic modules rated at 175 watts each to generate 56.7kw direct current at the town hall and library. But we didn’t stop there. To help the client raise public awareness, we supported a data acquisition system providing real-time performance data to a kiosk in the library as well as to a publicly accessible web site. |
