Mechanical Construction Services
EMCOR completed a mechanical construction services project that included mechanical piping and equipment installation work on a water treatment plant for the San Diego County Water Authority.
San Diego's Twin Oaks Valley Water Treatment Plant is the largest submerged membrane facility in the U.S., producing 100 million gallons of water per day.
EMCOR constructed, installed, and completed all of the facility's plumbing system, piping, and sheet metal work inside 14 separate buildings, much of it focused on installing the mechanical systems for an innovative, hollow fiber ultra-filtration membrane system.
This ultra-filtration membrane system has significant advantages over conventional treatment methods, as it reduces the need for chemicals in the processing of drinking water.
