When using a spreadsheet to track your facility's monthly
energy consumption, there's a simple way to determine your
12-month rolling average:
1.
Total the kilowatt hours (or natural gas CCF)
for the previous 12 months and divide by 12.
2.
Record that number and perform the same
calculation for each of the following months.
3.
Record these numbers every month. These
numbers are your monthly rolling average.
If your rolling average is trending downward-fantastic.
It means that your facility's energy performance is
improving. If it's trending upwards, it could mean that your
facility is becoming less efficient and your systems may
need some work.
We can help you track your consumption, and implement
new energy-saving strategies that can save you money
today-and over the long term.
